I met Sarah not too long after Braden and I started dating & she instantly felt like a lifelong friend. Braden jokes sometimes that I stole her friendship from her, because she may or may not love me more (haha), but we can agree that she's a dear friend to both of us! I got a FaceTime call a few days after her and Marlin announced their engagement, and on the other end of that call was Sarah and one of my best friends Taylor. They tag teamed to ask me if I would be interested in photographing their March 12th wedding day, and of course I said yes without hesitation!
Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready in a suite at The Bleckley Inn. Sarah was calm, cool and collected like she always is, and greeted me with a big hug. Taylor, who I mentioned before, did Sarah's bridal make up, making the getting ready process special for all of us. It's easy to talk about the bride, but let's talk about the groom for a second! Marlin is a southern boy through and through. He has a history in rodeo, so some of those elements made it into their wedding day. His suit wouldn't have been complete or him without his cowboy hat and belt buckle. Their wedding ceremony took place at The Oaks and the reception at The Bleckley Inn in Anderson, SC. The venues were a wonderful mix of classy elegance meets southern charm, perfect for Sarah and Marlin.
After the festivities of the ceremony, everyone headed to The Bleckley Inn for the reception. Sarah and I agreed that it was 100% okay for me to dance and act like a normal guest at the reception. Shout out to my girl Courtney Price Photography for taking more responsibility during the reception dance portion. I was so pumped to be a able to dance with Braden, enjoy the food, and get some quality time with Sarah on the dance floor!
Here's to you, Sarah and Marlin! Braden and I love you both!
