Hannah and John's wedding day is easily one of my favorites from this past fall. That's a bold statement, but when I look at all the aspects of their wedding and their marriage, I can't help but claim that truth! That stands true in their engagement session (view here) and Hannah's bridal session (view here) as well. Hannah is gentle and caring, as well as being so goofy and silly, she genuinely wanted to make sure everyone was having a great time. From the moment Courtney and I arrived to do getting ready photos, she was laughing with us and making sure we had everything we needed. It's the simple things that make the biggest difference, and genuine joy is one of them! Her details were timeless. Her custom Gregory Ellenburg gown was to. die. for. Seriously! Still dreaming about that dress!
It was the most beautiful fall day, and the Tigers were playing. Naturally, Hannah's MOH had the game playing on her iPhone during portraits. Everyone couldn't help but crack up at the fact that she had her iPhone stuffed in her dress! But hey, we had to stay updated on our Tigers progress! I could go on and on about these ladies, but let's talk about the men for a second. They looked dapper in their classic black and white tuxes. John is humble and kind, just like his bride. His men were equally as kind and easy to work with.
A favorite moment of mine from the day was moments before Hannah made her way outside to open gifts with her groom. She was giddy and excited, but she was also so calm. She was so calm that she was snacking and joking around with her mama, acting like it was any other day. That's what I love about that girl. She is steadfast, always just as joyful one day to the next, even on her wedding day! That moment was my favorite because it was so normal, the weight of the moment was there, but it was so light and joyful.
Their ceremony took place at Daniel Chapel at Furman. A classic setting for such a timeless event. Their portraits took place after sunset, which at first seemed to be a restraint, but honestly, their portraits are some of my favorite. They are romantic and bold, something that fits Hannah's style so well. They danced the night away, Hannah in her Ugg slippers, and had a blast in the slo-mo booth. Everyone needs one of theses!!
Hannah and John, it was such an honor to walk with you through this season of life. I am so grateful to have played a small role in one of the most joyful days!
